Emphasis on vascular imaging trends, related equipment considerations, anatomy, patient care, and interventional radiography.

Focuses on patient interactions, management, image acquisition, quality assurance, positioning/procedures, and pathology specific to mammography. This course meets the 16 hours of structured education required by the ARRT and 40 hours of structured education required by the CDPH-RHB.

Discussion and illustration of normal variations and abnormal changes due to disease as manifested through diagnostic imaging procedures. Description of modifications of standard and special techniques necessary to obtain adequate diagnostic imaging studies.

Anatomy from multiplanar perspectives as visualized on Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, and other imaging modalities.

Methods of reducing radiation exposure to patients, and safe practices for protection of personnel. State and national regulations pertaining to the use of diagnostic radiography, and fluoroscopy.

Internship semester of clinical education in a hospital radiology department. Placement is determined by the Program Officials. Performance of clinical internship competencies including those not completed in DMI 69. On-site meetings with Â黨´«Ã½ÉòоÓïÀÏʦ¼Ò·Ã faculty.
